Road Pavement Specialist – Qatar

Salary: QAR 35,000 – 40,000 per month
About the Role
Join a leading international main contractor delivering major infrastructure projects for Ashghal in Qatar. We are hiring a Pavement Specialist with strong expertise in road pavement engineering and management to support high-profile road projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pavement engineering and pavement management projects.
- Conduct network pavement inventory and condition surveys using automated technologies.
- Handle large-scale pavement data: management, processing, analysis, quality checks, validation, and reporting.
- Implement and utilize Pavement Management Systems (PMS) for condition indexing as per ASTM D6433 standards.
- Develop rehabilitation strategies, predict pavement performance, and prepare annual M&R and investment plans.
- Perform structural evaluation using Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), interpret results, and design overlays.
- Assess functional performance including skid resistance and other pavement evaluations.
- Provide technical input on road and pavement construction and materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Pavement Engineering and Management.
- Hands-on expertise with automated pavement survey technologies and PMS applications.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM standards for pavement condition assessment.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation planning and performance prediction models.
- Experience with FWD structural evaluation and overlay design.
- Understanding of pavement functional evaluations (e.g., skid resistance).
- Some exposure to road and pavement construction and materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCC experience highly desirable.
- European nationals will be considered.
- International experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
