Amir Cup 2025 Final to Be Held at Khalifa International Stadium on May 24, QFA Confirms

In a major update for Qatar football fans, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) has officially announced that the 53rd Amir Cup Final 2025 will take place at the iconic Khalifa International Stadium on May 24, 2025. This premier football tournament continues to be one of the most prestigious events in the Qatar football calendar.
The QFA also revealed that Al Thumama Stadium, Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, and Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium will host the high-stakes knockout matches leading up to the final. The announcement was made by Ali Hamoud Al Nuaimi, Head of Competitions at QFA, during the Amir Cup Round of 16 draw.
Amir Cup 2025 Fixtures and Format
This year’s Amir Cup tournament will kick off on May 4, featuring 12 teams from the Qatar Stars League (QSL) along with four top teams from the Second Division. The tournament will follow a single-elimination format, with extra time and penalty shootouts deciding tied matches.

May 4: Al Shahania vs Al Mesaimeer, Al Ahli vs Qatar SC
May 5: Al Duhail vs Al Sailiya, Al Rayyan vs Lusail

Coaches Share Expectations for the Amir Cup 2025
Al Sadd SC, the 2025 Qatar Stars League champions, are aiming to complete a domestic double. Their Sporting Director, Mohammed Gholam, stated, “We’re determined to continue winning titles. The Amir Cup is a key target, and our preparations for the 53rd edition begin now with full focus on our first match against Al Kharaitiyat.”
Al Duhail SC’s head coach, Christophe Galtier, expressed hope that his team can turn their season around. “Facing Al Sailiya in the Round of 16 will be a big challenge. They’ve shown strong performances in the Second Division. Winning the Amir Cup would be a great way to close our season on a high note.”
Al Ahli’s assistant coach, Khaled Taj, emphasized the team’s readiness: “Our goal is to reach the final stages and deliver for our fans. Our opening match against Qatar SC will be competitive, given our close standings in the league.”
